Crossing hearts

CROSSING HEARTS BY PATRICK ZALDARRIAGA

Although we have crossed paths before
Never have our hearts touched nor adore
The pain that my soul has to bear
Leads me to have no more care

Her beauty is alluring as ever
Astonishing she is, mad she was never
Mistaken I’m not when I say
She, too, loves me but her admission is far away

This shouldn’t be, our hearts should be one
Calm I cannot be, this misery must be gone
Tell her I must, my love is sincere
Before it’s too late, I mustn’t shed a tear

She is waiting, I know she is
We both long for, a passionate first kiss
No one can stop the passion of two lovers
Not now, not tomorrow, not forever

Our hearts need each other
This is now and forever
To end this grief and hate
To fulfill a long-lying fate
