The Animal In Manila 2: Batista Returns Home.

for everyone

So as I just found out this Saturday, Batista is coming here in Manila this March apparently. Jack TV is running a promo. Answer the question “Why are you the ultimate WWE fan?”. I can’t miss an opportunity like this. If chosen, you can win WWE stuff and the chance to meet Batista up close. Wala namang mawawala sa akin eh, so…I gave it a shot. This is my entry for the promo.
I have been a WWE fan, a wrestling fan per se for over 6 years already. I know that there other guys out there that have been a wrestling fan way longer than me, but unlike the other kids who start liking wrestling then they give up on it shortly after, I plan to be a wrestling fan forever. It all started when the guys in my school were crazy over wrestling. They told me that I should also watch it, but I refused since I was too much of wimp back then to watch violent stuff. But I said what the hell; I’ll give it a shot. So I started watching it (on Solar USA), and I was immediately hooked and I told myself I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on all this greatness. As years passed, everyone started giving up on wrestling as they thought it was getting old and it was starting to suck. One by one, everyone gave up on wrestling…except for me. To this day, I may be the only one left in our batch that is this addicted and this passionate about professional wrestling, and I don’t plan on giving up soon.

Back in ’06, I had bone cancer. (I’m not kidding.) September of that year, I was operated on to remove the tumor. Knowing the fact that the Smackdown tour was a month later, I was crushed that I might not be able to watch it because I was recovering. I was more crushed to know that it’s Smackdown, which means that Batista would be there. But I insisted and insisted that I should be allowed to watch and that I’d be fine, despite the fact that there would be tons of people. After day and night of being persistent, I was finally allowed to watch Smackdown at Araneta (I have pics to prove it :D). With a cast on my leg and sitting on a wheelchair, I watched the Smackdown tour (with my parents of course. front row). October 21, 2006 will be the best night that I ever had in my life as I witnessed Batista kick then-World Champion King Booker’s ass. That night was phenomenal and unforgettable.

Another reason why I could be the ultimate WWE fan is that, despite that I know a lot of stuff on wrestling, I have bought every single Smackdown video game since Here Comes The Pain, and I plan to buy every Smackdown game that will be released in the future to make my collection grow.

I’m notorious in school for being overly addicted to wrestling, which to them, that makes me a loser and everyone is annoyed by me when I start talking about wrestling. I’ve received constant bring downs that I suck by still watching wrestling, and that wrestling is a thing of the past, and that no one cares about wrestling anymore. Even my best friends can’t relate to my liking for wrestling. Frankly, I don’t care, and I beg to differ and to disagree. I believe that wrestling is timeless. I believe that wrestling is and always be the best form of entertainment the world has to offer. Nothing comes close. Jack TV, if I am given the opportunity to meet Batista, I will be honored and very grateful and this could be the first time that I’ll be able to meet a WWE Superstar. Meeting Batista, or any Superstar for that matter, would only be something of a dream and this might be my chance of finally making it a reality. If I ever do get to meet Batista, my wrestling fanaticism will come full circle. Even if I’m not chosen, I’m still thankful to you guys for making all this possible, in bringing joy and happiness to us fans here in the country. You guys rock. Thank you, Jack TV. 😀
So I dunno where this is gonna take me, but then it doesn’t hurt to try…who knows…
