Dead For Her
Dead For Her.
BY PATRICK ZALDARRIAGA
I lie on my bed, my heart now dreads
It bleeds and breaks, the unmistakable shed
I long for her kiss, a soul without mend
Loved beyond doubt, her face in my head
I lie in a state of daydream
As the summer whips up steam
Only I knew how to love her
Her and I were perfect, as we always were
Not one chance was I ever loved
Her care and kiss rose above
She’s a rare kind, like no other
A match made in heaven, there wasn’t a blunder
My days have all been daydreams
Most were broken and sad
Sleepless nights have left me idle
I know I must turn the dial
I hate my heart, so full of fear
I have fallen in love so dear
As we speak tonight, once more
Now I say, I’m dead for her.
