Last Chance

Last Chance

I know I’ve done a most horrid mistake
So unforgivable, this I can’t take
Now we’re idle in such a sense
Where are the stars going and when

Tell me our position, heartwise
Before I go, before my goodbye
Let me hold you for the final time
Forgive me angel I wasn’t wise

I’ll never hear your voice again
As I see it, our bridges our bent
Your song for me comes to an end
Now the struggle of hearts begin

You’ll know my words at sundown
Reasons we made horribly they sound
Then when we recall the love we had
We’d plunge in tears, broken and sad

My heart is hurt on all dimensions
Incurable at best, numb with emotion
Can we truly fulfill our last promise
To find our way, so fragile our heart is
