The Final Romance

One can only see
I can only feel
A night with her, or so it’d seem
Will only be a touch of a dream

Endless times, I have constantly wished
For her and I, to be together once more
One night is all that I ask for
A memory of her will stay forevermore

My heart, it’s wrenched and torn apart
This is the beginning of a last dance
Never again, will I see her shining eyes
The end has come, but my soul defies

More moments, I ask
Then her illusion blazes my mind at dusk
Her kiss and cradle I will never forget
Every moment I could never regret

I can’t help but ponder and wonder
Where I’d be without her
Whatever it is that has transpired
My heart will always scream ‘I love her’
